In a delightful surprise for royal fans, Kate Middleton and Prince William brought their two eldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, to attend the gentlemen’s singles final at Wimbledon on Sunday, July 16. The family was among the eager throng seated beside Centre Court to watch Serbia’s Novak Djokovic battle Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz for one of the most coveted tennis trophies of them all.
The Princess of Wales, Patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, has attended Wimbledon twice already this year, opting to dress in summery shades of green throughout. On Sunday, she donned an elegant emerald green midi-dress with ruffled details by one of her go-to designers, Roland Mouret, adding a bow in the Wimbledon colors pinned to her lapel.
Aside from Kate Middleton, the rest of the family donned varying shades of blue: Prince William paired his gray jacket with a blue shirt and a navy tie and trousers; George was smart in a navy suit; and Charlotte wore a pretty blue floral dress with ruffled sleeves by Spanish children’s wear brand Friki.
This year marks eight-year-old Princess Charlotte’s first time at the world-renowned tennis tournament. Her big brother, George, who is set to turn 10 this month, made his Wimbledon debut last year.
It’s the second public appearance in recent days for the young royals, who were joined by their little brother, five-year-old Prince Louis, for a family day out with their parents at the Royal International Air Tattoo on Friday.
