Blake Lively may have skipped the 2024 Met Gala, but her latest ensemble definitely fit this year's theme, The Gardens of Time. Alas, this was not an attempt to make up for lost…opportunities…but yet another example of press tour method dressing.
Lively has been hard at work promoting her upcoming film adaptation of the popular Colleen Hoover novel It Ends With Us, which hits theaters on August 9. Her latest appearance found her Grapevine, Texas for Book Bonanza, where she was dressed in her second floral homage to the story's protagonist Lily Bloom.
The Taylor x Blake crossover event we’ve always wanted.

On June 10, Lively honored the fictional florist at the Tribeca Festival Artists Dinner by arriving to the event in a colorful Chanel logo pantsuit covered in a large pink flower print. Five days later, on June 14, she switched things up with a unique shirt dress featuring a structured skirt with sequins floral embroidery and a sheer button-up top worn open to expose a strapless black bra top.
Lively paired the bold dress with sparkling Christian Louboutin heels and mismatched jewelry, including a variety of rings and earrings evoking Bloom's eclectic style from the movie. To top everything off, the mother of four opted for a short white manicure to add a summery twist to the entire look.
While Blake Lively's costumes have been the subject of controversy since photos of Lily's outfits started going viral during filming in May 2023, the actor's off-screen wardrobe rarely (if ever) disappoints. And if her most recent looks are anything to go by, we're in for a very exciting and vibrant batch of red-carpet moments in the near future.
Here’s your first look.
