Whether you're in need of a swimsuit for small boobs, a supportive bathing suit for larger busts, a nonbinary bathing suit to feel extra comfortable in the water, or you’re simply looking for more bottom coverage, you’ll find standout pieces from some of the best swimsuit brands on this list.

Wrewing Reversible Tie-Shoulder Monokini
Original photo courtesy of Glamour commerce director Brie Schwartz
Two swimsuits in one? We’ll take it. Head over to Amazon for this gorgeous one-piece that just happens to be reversible. Add a pop of color with a vibrant floral print on one side and keep it minimal with a simple baby-blue-and-white palette on the other. “I’m a sucker for all things bows—currently one of 2024’s biggest fashion trends—so when I saw this reversible suit on Amazon, I couldn’t resist, though I had my doubts that something only 20 bucks could be high enough quality to keep me looking snatched,” says Glamour commerce director Brie Schwartz. “It really surprised me. Not only is the crazy-soft fabric thick enough to provide tummy control, but it also offers boob support, and the straps were easy to tie; plus, it’s two suits in one. This was a big win.”
- Available sizes: XS–XL
- Fabrics: Nylon, spandex
- Colors: 11 options (22 when reversed)
- Padding: No
- What we love: Super comfy; thick lining; reversible; under $25
- What could improve: The bows take a little finessing.

J.Crew Ruched V-Neck One-Piece
Original photo courtesy of Glamour commerce editor Malia Griggs
“I’ve worn this V-neck in classic black for more than five years and get compliments on it all the time,” Glamour commerce editor Malia Griggs says. “Its plunging cut draws attention to my smaller chest, which I like, and its ruching is loose and comfy against my midsection. I especially appreciate that its fabric has UPF 50 sun protection woven in! I actually wear the suit year-round as a bodysuit under skirts and pants.” The one-piece comes in a wide range of colors, includes long-torso sizing, has removable cups, and is (blessedly) machine-washable.
- Available sizes: 0–24
- Fabrics: Nylon, spandex
- Colors: 11 options (including zipper-closure styles)
- Padding: Yes (removable)
- What we love: Not-too-tight tummy control; plus and long-torso sizing
- What could improve: Straps aren’t adjustable.

Skims Scoop-Neck One-Piece
Original photo courtesy of Glamour commerce writer Andrea Navarro
When Kim Kardashian dropped the first installment of Skims swim, nearly everyone jumped in line to grab it. This minimal open-back one-piece is a bestseller for a reason—and a favorite of Glamour commerce writer Andrea Navarro for its shapewear feel, which she says isn’t too constricting. It’s made from buttery-soft fabric, delivers subtle compression, has a cheeky high cut, and comes in a ton of sizes.
- Available sizes: XXS–4X
- Fabrics: Recycled nylon, spandex
- Colors: 4 options
- Padding: No
- What we love: Its tummy control and boob support
- What could improve: Your nipples show (though you could always slide on a set of nipple covers).

Madewell Ribbed Scoop-Neck One-Piece Swimsuit
Original photo courtesy of Glamour commerce editor Malia Griggs
Ribbing adds texture and compression to an otherwise basic swimsuit, making it a popular choice. “When I want to wear something different than my black one-pieces, I like this Madewell suit,” says Griggs. “It’s high-cut along the legs without being too high-cut, and I love how poppy and fresh its orange colors are. I’m eyeing the cool pink, too.”
- Available sizes: XXS–4X
- Fabrics: Recycled polyamide, spandex
- Colors: 3 options
- Padding: Yes (removable)
- What we love: It has UPF 50 sun protection and long torso and plus sizing.
- What could improve: Its cleavage cut is quite low and not adjustable.

L*Space Solstice Bitsy Cutout Colorblock One-Piece Swimsuit
Original photo courtesy of Glamour tester Emma Stein
Here’s the hot-girl summer one-piece swimsuit of your dreams: This L Space knockout mimics a yin and yang with its black-and-white color-blocking that’s split with a curve of cutouts along the bust, stomach, and back. “This is probably the most daring swimsuit I’ve ever owned,” says Glamour tester Emma Stein. “But hey, I’m proud of my body, and I love how its cutouts hug my curves to show some skin—without actually showing off more than feels comfortable.”
- Available sizes: XS–XL
- Fabrics: Nylon, spandex
- Colors: 2 options
- Padding: Yes (removable)
- What we love: Its cheeky cut and design stand out.
- What could improve: Material is very thin and clingy; no bust support

Ted Baker London Saffiey Swimsuit
Original photo courtesy of Glamour commerce director Brie Schwartz
With its sweetheart neckline, buttons, and splashes of flowers, this suit lays the charm on thick. “If you’re in your romantic aesthetic era, the covered buttons on this suit add the prettiest details, and the balconette cups actually help to lift the girls up instead of giving you the dreaded uniboob,” says Schwartz. “The thick straps are also more comfortable than most—no digging, but they’re removable if you want a more ’60s—or, er, no tan-line—vibe. I’d recommend sizing up, though.”
- Available sizes: 2–14
- Fabrics: Recycled polyamide, elastane
- Colors: 1
- Padding: Yes
- What we love: Pretty button detailing; could double as a top
- What could improve: It runs small and isn’t ideal for long torsos.

Mara Hoffman Emma One Piece
Original photo courtesy of Glamour tester Missy Henrikson
“I love Mara Hoffman one-piece swimsuits, especially this one,” says Glamour tester Missy Henrikson. “I rarely wear deep V-necklines, but this suit has such a snug fit that everything stays in place. I like how soft, comfortable, and substantial the material is, giving my body form while smoothing my shape. Most of all, I love the bright, eye-catching colors. I’ve tried classic black one-pieces in the past, but they tend to wash me out because I’m so pale. The suit is very well constructed, so it lasts years and is definitely worth the investment. It’s the only one-piece bathing suit I own.”
- Available sizes: XS–XL
- Fabrics: Recycled polyester, elastane
- Colors: 1 option (though you can find a second here)
- Padding: No
- What we love: Beautiful print; high-quality, recycled fabric; UPF 50+ sun protection; crisscross back that you can self-tie
- What could improve: Not full-coverage in the back; very pricey

Aokai Swim Haleiwa One-Piece
Original photo courtesy of Glamour tester Anastasia Ashley
Out of her many swimsuits, this high-neck one-piece is a standout for professional surfer Anastasia Ashley. It’s largely made of comfy, stretchy recycled spandex and polyester, and its splashy floral pattern nods to the family-run business’s Hawaiian roots. “I love high-neck one-pieces,” Ashley says. “They feel sophisticated and fancy enough to wear with pants or shorts after the beach. This brand has the best patterns and colors, and I especially like this blue suit. Anything that’s tropical or ‘coconut girl’ fits my style.”
- Available sizes: XS–XS
- Fabrics: Recycled spandex and polyester
- Colors: 3 options
- Padding: Yes (removable)
- What we love: Sexy cross-back; sustainable fabric; high neck that provides more bust coverage

Cupshe One-Piece Swimsuit Wrap Color-Block Tie Side Bathing Suit
Not into cups or underwire in your swimwear? Not a problem. This comfortable wrap bathing suit has removable cups for a smooth, seamless finish—and the color-block design is a nice change-up from basic black. “After using this bathing suit all summer, I want to say that it held up so well,” one of the many Amazon reviewers says. “It’s so comfortable, easy to clean, and the ties are adorable. I plan on using this over and over again because the quality is amazing. The coverage is nice and keeps you feeling secure. I also got a ton of compliments on this bathing suit.”

- Fabrics: Chinlon, spandex
- Colors: 8 options
- Padding: Yes (removable)
- What we love: Its material is double-lined, so it's not see-through.

Cupshe Cutout Scallop Trim Bathing Suit
Amazon shoppers can’t get enough of this Cupshe one-piece. Yes, the scalloped design with its triangular cutout is supercute, but the majority of its more than 5,000 ratings mention how flattering its silhouette is. The fabric is very stretchy, and you don’t have to worry about any uncomfortable underwire up top. “I feel great that it won’t slip off or let things pop out in any way like other two-pieces do. And it is not bland like some one-pieces are,” one Amazon reviewer writes. “The cups don’t push up and in, but that feels nice as they sit securely. I’m relieved that the suit covers my bum (most ride way up). I’ve had many compliments on the vintage look and quality and how the unique cut of the suit complements my body shape. It is easy to get on and off, and it seems like it will last.”
- Available sizes: XS–XXL
- Fabrics: Polyester, spandex
- Colors: 4 options
- Padding: Yes (removable)
- What we love: Stretchy, textured fabric that’s so comfy; full coverage along the butt; cute vintage aesthetic
- What could improve: Minimal chest support; top sometimes folds down

Summersalt The Perfect Wrap One-Piece
Summersalt is known for its breezy, versatile styles, fun colors and patterns, and generous sizing (including long-torso fits). “The Perfect Wrap has thin sewn-in boob pads that don’t shift or come out in the wash, which is a big pro!” says Glamour tester Katherine Howell-Kiser. “Also, you can adjust the wrap and make it tighter to achieve a more snatched looked if you want.” Its butt coverage is a little cheeky, and we appreciate that the suit is mostly made of a recycled material.
- Available sizes: 2–22
- Fabrics: Recycled polyamide, spandex
- Colors: 9 options
- Padding: Yes (sewn-in)
- What we love: Really adjustable fit, from the straps to the waist
- What could improve: Lining of sewn-in cups sometimes shows through the suit’s material.
- 12/32
H&M High Leg Swimsuit
Swimsuits with tie shoulder straps do the double duty of giving your top a closer fit and playing right into the bow trend. This suit’s deep V-neck and subtle lining along the bust create structure, especially for smaller busts. Its high-cut leg keeps the suit from veering into little-girl territory, and we think the suit would pair beautifully with a cover-up like a flowy skirt or really any of these spring 2024 pants trends.
- Available sizes: XS–XXL
- Fabrics: Nylon, spandex
- Colors: 2 options
- Padding: Yes (removable)
- What we love: Charming style; under-$50 price point
- What could improve: Fabric under the arm might gap.

Boden Enhancer Underwired Swimsuit
One thing you don’t see often in swimwear is bra sizing. This Boden one-piece fits according to your cup and measurements so you can get the most support—and coverage—for the girls. The Kate Middleton–beloved brand is a top pick for Glamour editors, too, and who could blame us? Pair this pretty suit with a red lip for the total 1950s pinup look. “This is my all-time favorite bathing suit,” says Glamour’s Schwartz. “It took decades to find a one-piece that could give me the same support, lift, and shape as a bikini top or a bra, so when I found Boden, I haven’t looked back. It comes in a variety of different prints, from tropical to preppy, and they wash so well without fading. Plus, they’re actually comfortable—no painful boning—and keep me sucked in. I’ve turned all of my friends on to them, too, and now they’re converts as well.”
- Available sizes: 32A–38DD
- Fabrics: Polyamide, spandex
- Colors: 2 options
- Padding: Yes
- What we love: It comes in specific cup sizes, which is rare for one-pieces, so it lifts and perks up the boobs but is still comfortable.
- What could improve: Tough to get on and off
- 14/32
Miraclesuit Oceanus Tummy Control One-Piece Swimsuit
The brand is called Miraclesuit for a reason: It makes figure-hugging swimsuits that support and look good. Its bathing suits with tummy control are ideal because of the slimming design—this ruched one-piece drapes diagonally across the stomach for extra control. “I’ve tried so many swimsuits, and this is the only suit that really fits,” an Amazon reviewer writes. “I’m large-busted with small hips, and this suit fits perfectly. It gives awesome support and doesn’t sag when wet.”
- Available sizes: 8–18
- Fabrics: Nylon, spandex
- Colors: 16 options
- Padding: Yes
- What we love: Its wrap-style ruching masks and compresses the stomach.
- What could improve: The fit isn’t as tight at the bust as it is at the waist.

Andie The Romana One-Piece
Forget trends and high cuts—sometimes all you want is a classic suit that’ll last summer after summer. The Romana is Griggs’s pick. “I need coverage, and the Romana has more than a lot of one-pieces I’ve tried. The leg cut is medium and my butt is in no danger of creeping into wedgie territory,” she says. “But what I like best is that it balances out its modesty with unique keyhole detailing along the bust. I can throw on shorts or a midiskirt for an off-the-beach look.”
- Available sizes: XS–XXL
- Fabrics: Recycled nylon, spandex
- Colors: 3 options
- Padding: Yes (removable)
- What we love: It’s comfortable and modest, with long-torso or regular sizing.
- What could improve: It’s not the most supportive for bigger busts.
- 16/32
Tempt Me Women Off-Shoulder Ruffle One-Piece
Want to cover your bust and arms in a more subtle way? Snag this unique off-shoulder piece immediately. It still has straps for support but with a ruffled layer that keeps your chest hidden completely. Plus, we love the laser-cut lace detailing. “I bought this for a trip to Mexico and it was great. It was very comfy for all-day excursions and I liked that I could put shorts or a skirt over it and it just looked like a regular top,” an Amazon reviewer writes. “It was also very flattering on my curvy figure. The suits are true to size and look great even after being washed.”
- Available sizes: XS–22 Plus
- Fabrics: Nylon, spandex
- Colors: 13 options
- Padding: Yes (removable)
- What we love: Subtly hides bust and arms; can convert into a strapless suit
- What could improve: Runs big

Aerie Crinkle Birthday Scoop Cheekiest One Piece Swimsuit
“After owning a one-piece from Aerie for years, I finally decided to get a new one,” says Glamour senior commerce editor Jenifer Calle, who’s 5'2" and wears a size medium in this ribbed Aerie suit. “I wore this green crinkled one-piece on a cruise recently and liked the coverage and fit. It’s cheeky but full-coverage enough (except for the lower back). My stomach doesn’t feel too sucked in—it’s looser, which I like.” Its deeply scooped back and higher cut draw the eyes to your booty.
- Available sizes: XS–XL
- Fabrics: Nylon, spandex
- Colors: 3 options
- Padding: No (but has hidden pockets for bust cups; sold separately)
- What we love: Comfy; affordable; not see-through; washes well
- What could improve: No built-in tummy control; straps slide down when you move a lot

TA3 Squarey One-Piece
Glamour associate beauty editor Danielle Sinay calls this the only swimsuit she bothers wearing. “I have very large breasts (am currently a size 36 F or G, for context) and never felt secure in any swimsuit I tried on unless I looked like I was going scuba diving with a team of grandmother nuns—meaning that only the most matronly and least cute options are what provided actual support. That’s until I found TA3’s suit!” she says. “It essentially functions as gorgeous shapewear with a built-in bra. Ever since getting mine (which I now have in several colors), I actually feel comfortable going to—and running on—the beach!”
- Available sizes: XS–4X (up to K-cup bust sizing)
- Fabrics: Nylon, spandex
- Colors: 6 options
- Padding: Yes (removable)
- What we love: It has a corset-style back that keeps you locked in while looking sexy.
- What could improve: It’s quite pricey.
- 19/32
Summersalt The Sidestroke One-Piece
Glamour tester Howell-Kiser calls the Sidestroke “very figure-flattering” and praises its double-layered fabric, which offers great stomach support. The one-shoulder swimsuit shows a little skin while maintaining full coverage along the butt. Its wide range of sizing and tummy control make it an excellent postpartum swimsuit.
- Available sizes: 0–24
- Fabrics: Recycled polyamide, elastane
- Colors: 14 options
- Padding: No
- What we love: Strong tummy control; inclusive sizing; wide range of colors and patterns
- What could improve: No nipple coverage; colors sometimes bleed in the wash

Eberjey Jane Smooth One-Piece
Eberjey makes some of the most comfortable pajamas, so it’s perhaps no surprise that this high quality extends into its one-piece swimwear. The Jane monokini is a little elegant and a little seductive with its square neck and fluttery shoulder straps, and its fabric is woven with much-needed sun protection. “As soft as the beloved PJs, this swimsuit feels like a dream, which is saying a lot for a bathing suit,” says Schwartz. “And though white may seem like a risk, especially for a gal like me who is constantly spilling, it washes really well.”
- Available sizes: XS–XL
- Fabrics: Nylon, spandex
- Colors: 2 options
- Padding: Yes (removable)
- What we love: UPF 50+ sun protection; easy to pull on
- What could improve: No adjustability; limited sizing; hand-wash only

The internet can’t get enough of Good American’s viral swimsuits. Each one is designed with a special fabric that stretches up and down in size to hug your body as it goes through natural fluctuations like water retention (making it one of the best maternity swimsuits and postpartum swimsuits). Its straps are adjustable, so the fit always works, and its high cut adds a trendy touch. “The quality is phenomenal, it’s comfortable, and fits perfectly,” says a Good American reviewer. “I love that the material hides my insecurities. I wanted a one-piece that wasn’t a ‘mom’ one-piece and still felt appropriately sexy. It’s perfect!”

Slow clap for a strapless suit—but one that includes spaghetti straps you can latch in, if you want. The high-waisted Hermoza comes in bright, bold colors only (sorry, classic black) and has a smocked top with a soft built-in bra that’s a hell of a lot comfier than underwire cups. “As someone with a chest, I find a strapless bathing suit can be a risk, but this cute bandeau suit with a subtle ruffle actually provides support, and hey, no tan lines,” says Schwartz. “I also like that I can throw on a pair of denim shorts and head from the beach to the, well, beach bar.”

Miraclesuit’s stylish take on a swim dress cinches in your waist and stomach and looks damn good doing so. The side slit in its skirt shows off your leg while cleverly hiding your bikini line, and its underwire and plunging neckline push up your boobs while ensuring they don’t bounce around. “I was hesitant at the price, but after six months, I still love this swimsuit so much! So glad I took the splurge. It’s very flattering, smoothing, and the skirt is perfect without feeling too matronly,” an Amazon reviewer says.

What to consider when picking a one-piece swimsuit
When shopping for a one-piece swimsuit, it’s helpful to consider the fit and use. “You want your swimsuit to complement your body shape and offer the right support,” says Sienna Mae Gomez, CEO of Siennaswim.
As for use, figure out where you want to wear the suit and for what activities. Lounging by the pool? Opt for some built-in bust support and/or a sleeveless style so you can avoid tan lines, says Sandra Davidoff, director of corporate marketing and public relations at Miraclesuit. Swimming, surfing, or playing beach volleyball? Choose a suit that’s high-neck enough to keep your boobs tucked away and/or long-sleeve so you’re protected from the sun.
Many one-pieces even have UPF sun protection woven into their fabric. And if you’re planning to transition your suit from beach to boardwalk, take a look at simpler swimsuits that pair seamlessly with shorts or a cover-up.
- 27/32
How do you size yourself for a one-piece?
“Measure the fullest part of your bust, your waist (the narrowest part), and your hips (the widest part),” says Monti Landers, founder of Riot Swim. Most brands include size charts, and you can use those three metrics as a guide in choosing the best one-piece for you. Also consider the suit’s design features. If you have a shorter or longer torso, one-piece swimsuits that have adjustable straps are a smart choice. If you’re looking for a swimsuit for a large bust, choose a style that has built-in bust support like underwire and thick shoulder straps.
- 28/32
How do you shop for a one-piece if you’re different sizes on the top and bottom?
When you’re shopping for a bikini, it’s easy to mix and match your top and bottom sizing, but it’s trickier with a one-piece. Look for one-pieces that have details like adjustable straps and ties along the shoulders and hips that allow you to more closely customize the fit (like those you’ll see in this J.Crew bathing suit). High-cut legs and ruching can also help balance your proportions, says Landers.
- 29/32
Is it better to size up or down in a one-piece?
Size up! You don’t want to feel squeezed into your swimsuit like the toothpaste at the end of tube—nor do you want to pull at the suit for hours in order to stay covered.
- 30/32
Is there anything to consider if you’re plus-size?
Support and coverage are key when shopping for a plus-size swimsuit. Look for suits that have ruching. “This feature gathers the fabric and smooths the stomach area for tummy control,” says Landers. “It’s also great for enhancing curves.” When trying on the suit, make sure you can comfortable move and bend over in the suit as well.
- 31/32
What one-pieces are most in style this summer?
“High-cut legs and deep V-necks are really popular this season. They add a playful touch, make your legs look longer, and have a classic ’90s vibe,” says Landers. You’ll see more high-neck suits this season; suits with interesting detailing like cutouts, daring low backs, and hardware that acts as jewelry; and the classic black one-piece. “It’s a timeless staple that people are resurfacing in a way that’s still sexy and fun,” says Gomez. “The one-piece has truly evolved into its own fashion statement.”
