Early Prime Day tech deals
Amazon Prime Big Deal Days is one of the few times of the year Prime members can pick up brand-new Apple products—AirPods, iPads, Apple Watches, you name it—on sale. Those AirPods are a particularly great investment right now; the noise-canceling earbuds rarely get cheaper. (Same with the Samsung Frame TV below.) The retailer also loves marking down its own Amazon devices, including streaming devices and e-readers, during these sales. Keep an eye out for Bluetooth speakers, tablets, and sound bars among the other markdowns.

Early Prime Day sex toy deals
Believe it or not, Amazon has a wide selection of sex toys and accessories such as wand vibrators for solo play, suction toys that can mimic oral sex, and more. We’ve got our eyes on Lovehoney and Lelo sex toys, two of the most popular and trusted sex toy brands. Give your clit even more love with the Satisfyer Pro 2, which reviewers won’t stop praising, and a rose toy with extra-targeted vibrations.

What is Amazon Prime Day?
Since 2015, Amazon has been running a summer blowout sale in July as a celebration of sorts for its founding month. The online retailer was founded July 5, 1994, so it makes sense that it would run its biggest sale on that same month—with a couple of exceptions where the date was moved. The two-day sale event officially began in 2015 to celebrate Amazon’s 20th birthday. Similar to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, it’s one of the best opportunities for shoppers to score huge savings—sometimes the lowest of the year—on just about every type of product available on Amazon for 48 hours.
How to shop Amazon Prime Day
First, it helps to be a Prime Member or to start a free 30-day trial. But you'll be happy to know that although it’s a Prime-member-exclusive event, plenty of deals are available to nonsubscribers.
Leading up to the event, our best tip is to create wish lists by clicking on the heart icon for items you’re interested in tracking. Once they’re in your list, organize them by category so when the sale event starts, it’s easy to check on those products and quickly add them to cart before they sell out. The sheer volume of products and discounts can be overwhelming, so really homing on what you’re looking forward to buying can help.
Prices tend to fluctuate all year on Amazon, so if you want to confirm you’re actually getting a good deal, a handy tool like Camelcamelcamel.com can show you the price trend for a specific Amazon product. Simply paste in the URL and check to see if it’s a reasonable sale price. You’ll most likely notice that, other than Prime Day, Black Friday and Cyber Monday are the best times to get a really good deal.
Last, we’ll be updating this page before and during the event, so be sure to bookmark it and check back.
Do other retailers participate in Prime Day?
A huge perk of Amazon Prime Day is that a bunch of other retailers join in on the fun and have their own version of Prime Day. Don’t worry, we’ll be keeping track of all the fashion and beauty brands that drop their own summer sale. Some of our favorite clothing deals are from Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale which officially kicks off on July 9 and runs through August 4.
